We first met Zheling at a Home by Hitcheed meet-and-greet event, after which we were quite certain that she was the designer for us. She understood almost immediately what my husband and I were looking to do with our space and, even at that first meeting, was unafraid to tell us what will not work. Most importantly, she was upfront about costs and willing to work around our budget without compromising on quality. Zheling is very thorough and attentive to details. During her first visit to our place, and given the short time we had, she managed to spot things that even we (or the other designer who came down) did not notice. And later, she was happy to adjust her quote to meet our budget and timeline, without being difficult or pushy. During the renovation period itself, Zheling would always suggest ways to keep our costs down. Because of this, we felt we could trust her. Unlike the vibes/ideas/responses we received from other designers, Zheling wasn't out to make money off us. She genuinely cared and wanted us to get the best out of our budget. She would also give us progress updates every now and then, which helped put our minds at ease during what can be a very stressful time. The renovation itself turned out great - perfect, almost. Zheling gave us time to settle into our new home and to spot any flaws in the work, after which she promptly fixed whatever issues we had.
